Gautier

Maison Gautier is one of the oldest cognac houses established by a family of barrel makers who made them of the best wood from the forest of Tronçais. This story goes back to the mid-18th century, when Charles Gautier married Jacquette Brochet, a daughter of the local winemaker. Almost a hundred years later, in 1755, the company received a royal warranty signed by Louis XV, which gave rise to Maison Gautier – a wine factory.

At present, the company employs the tenth generation of the Gautier family.

Gautier is a masterpiece, and its top quality reflects the passion and commitment of people, who make it. Using the exceptional eaux-de-vie and the specific aging location – a watermill cellar, which is characterized by natural humidity – a passionate team of fifteen employees does its best to make sure their cognac is rich and smooth in taste. Aged in handmade oak barrels, it will meet the expectations of all those, who appreciate genuineness, good craftsmanship and passion for creation.

The reputation of GAUTIER as the best cognac in the world has been confirmed many times – it has been awarded such prizes as « BEST COGNAC » : Pinar Del Rio in 2016 and Tradition Rare in 2015 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition; XO – « World’s Best Cognac » during the World Cognac Awards in 2015.
